Do most rc’s have plastic gears in the central diff? Also does Redcat sell metal gears for that diff?

I have a caldera 3.0 and need to adjust the two speed trans shifting point.
I’ve watched the video and it shows two screws. One to fasten the shifter and one to adjust it. Aparrently the Caldera trans is a little different.
I only see one screw. Is this the adjustment screw?
    What size is it?
How much should I turn the screw each time as I adjust?

It happens, might be possible the gear mesh was either too tight or loose. Keep more spur gears in hands mate. they are the one that often are gone :D

  • ravn111 says:

I run the truck about 5 or 6 tanks now and the spur gear is totally damaged :( Is tath normal ????

  • alishanmao says:

just plan your running well n try to set the gear mesh real carefully. all will be good.

  • ravn111 says:

OK, thanks for the tip, But to get spur gears i have to travel 2 hours with boat :(
Well i got a new now, and i think i set the gear mesh good now, i runned 2 tanks and the spur gear is a little bit damaged.

  • alishanmao says:

it happens due to bad gear mesh setup or too many jumps while car hitting the ground hard. Keep more spur gears in hands. when I go to run cars, i have 2 spur gears for each car in hands :D

  • ravn111 says:

In my RC car the spur gear is damage very much. It is damaged at the 2 or 3th tank. Is this normal for an RC car?

  • alishanmao says:

Taking an example of Volcano SV, I believe you can upgrade it to 2 speed. but you gotta match the stuff to fix in :)

  • JKZD says:

Can you put a two speed central differential gearbox in a truck from redcat racing that was designed to have a single speed gearbox? Just like the one you have in your hand? Thanks in advance
